Ren's Personal Testimony

I was born and raised in Nagaland, India. My parents brought me up in a household that had family devotional times where my father read the Bible and we as a family prayed together. As a teenager, I did all the things that a ‘good’ Christian is expected to do: Go to church, don’t drink like the heathen, don’t do this, that etc. So I put a check mark on all those outward behaviors and took great pride. But deep within, the Lord in His mercy was revealing to me a lowly, sin-loving, self-serving, lost, unregenerate man. I grew up with a lot of fears. I was deeply insecure and went to doctors many times but they could not find anything wrong. It was these fears that the Lord was using to draw me to Himself. On my own I could never have sought the Lord or even think about calling out His name because I was lost in my sinfulness and had no desire for the things of the Lord. My only saving grace: Christ in His great compassion reached down and opened my spiritually blind eyes. Through repentance and faith He gave me a new heart, a renewed mind and a renewed sense of purpose.

With the new life the Lord has granted me, I often ask the Lord as to how and where I can best serve Him. I love the Word of God and have a deep respect for those who preach faithfully because it convicts men of sin, brings them to repentance and fellowship with Christ. There are those whom God has specifically equipped and trained to preach and teach. There are also those whom the Lord has given specific skills to honor Him and proclaim Him. This is why we have believers whom the Lord has gifted to be doctors, engineers, writers, musicians, artists, business entrepreneurs, teachers and chefs. The Lord has given me musical skills so that I may honor Him through this gift. May you be blessed as you listen to these recordings. Most of all, may you come to know Christ as your Lord and Savior. There are only two kinds of people in the world: Those whom the Lord has saved and are redeemed and those who are still lost in their sin. The death and resurrection of Christ has paved the way for us sinners to come to know Him so that we may come to an unbreakable fellowship with Christ and live for His eternal purpose and glory.

It is the glorious gospel that saves us: When Christ becomes one’s Lord and Savior there occurs a major shift in mindset. A 180 degree turn from self to Christ, from sin to righteousness and from blindness to a glorious sight. Sin, the devil and the lures of the world will still relentlessly seek to take possession of the heart. However, Christ living in us empowers us to claim the victory. We may be tempted, fall into sin, but the Holy Spirit indwelling us will always lead us back to a place of repentance, restoration and fellowship with Christ. Now He gives us a new longing, a new purpose: To follow Him in obedience, to be his witness, to disciple and counsel others.

If the Lord is giving you the desire to know Him, please send me an email or contact me and I would love to talk to you. Meanwhile, I would encourage you to read the Bible, starting with the Book of John and as you read, ask the Lord to give you understanding of what you are reading.

The Lord’s blessing be upon you and your household.
